Monsieur Musique is proud to announce the most recent EP by Maxime Miville, titled “Inner Ear & Outer Walls”.

Like a whirlpool of sounds and melodies, Vertigo gives us the impression of falling into a void without losing your footing, while Balance brings us a feeling of weightlessness with its light and festive sentiment pulled from a circus act. Aloft on a southern breeze, Motion, thanks to its captivating guitar and its reassuring brass movements, form the protective envelope much like outer walls which protect us.

Couldn’t describe it better! The release date is on the 24th of November. In the meantime enjoy “Balance”.

Ever heard of the Reagen? I bet you have not! He’s techno DJ/producer from the Netherlands, currently under the wings of Leftout Records. Actually his myspace says he’s with two other people. I’m not sure, I haven’t done many research or messaged him. I think those are just his other aliases or people that might help him producing. I don’t really care. He rocks! We’ve got some news from Trash Yourself! The NY duo has been touring in Europe early November. I know I guess that’s a little late to tell you. Anyway they’ve send us some remixes. And immediately one name got my attention. Gtronic remixed their collaboration with Toxic Avenger “Die”. G is hero in the Belgian electro scene. He’s still very young but incredible talented. He recently got back from his Australian tour with TRASHBAGS if I’m correct. Soon you can find him in Portugal. Check out his myspace for more details. But of course that’s just an impossible scenario these days. Still I can’t believe he’s so underground with so amazing productions. Last week Summer won with 97 to 44. I’m still surprised from the amount of snow loving people. I like it, it’s beautiful when the street is covered with snow and all kinds of Christmas lights shining on it. But it doesn’t beat chilling around with your swimming shorts on the beach. This weekend depthcore has released their 38th online exhibition which is truly a mind blowing collection of some of the best digital artists’ work. Lot49 Records brings us a new album Light & Dark by Lee Coombs. This album is in his own words “a true tech funk album”, a fusion of techno, breaks, house and electro. In my opinion a sound I can definitely get used to. Put on Light & Dark and you’ll know what I’m talking about. I was listening to it before I read the description and I was already trying to find the right genre to describe it. Tech Funk it is!  And I like it! I hope you do too. Maybe I should make a new category for it.

thanks again everyone for casting your vote last week. I know I’m lil late with the new poll, but I’ve been very busy lately. Anyway, last week’s result was just like how I thought it would be. Most you guys are between 15 and 25, still I’m quite amazed about how many votes we got from over the age of 30. Of course it might be the votes of some jokers, but I belief it.

Since it’s getting colder and colder here in Belgium, I thought it would be interesting to ask which season you prefer. Do you prefer summer or winter? I know not every where are seasons like that, but still I’d like to know for those who haven’t winter or summer if you prefer surfing above snowboarding or something like that. Let’s find out.

We’re proud to announce our new phase02 skin. We really hope you like it. The new skin comes with a new logo and our first iPhone / iPod Touch wallpaper. But not is this only a style update, we’re going to put extra effort on bringing you more music from genres like Techno, Tech-House and minimal. The past couple of weeks we’ve noticed an increasing interest from you  towards those genres. Also we intend to publish more interviews in the coming months. I want to thank all our readers for the support they’ve given us. Thanks to you we stay focused and motivated to make phase02 a better place and search for new interesting content everyday.

Also you may have noticed we don’t longer use our facebook group. Instead we launched our phase02 facebook page which comes with a lot more handy tools to keep you update.

I’m feeling generous today so i’m gonna share some tracks i’ve been holding off on. This first one is from a generally unknown artist from the NY area. We exchanged a few words and to my understanding he’s still working in the creative process and wants to keep his energies there for now. “Svpreme Fiend” is the moniker used by this young new yorker and this track is the VIP, i haven’t heard the original myself.

A new week means a new poll. Which is gonna be a bit different. I’d actually like to know the average age of the PHASE02 reader. Maybe it’s weird that I’d like know that, but I’m quite curious and I’d like to know our readers better and better.Well lets see if the expected age of  the average electronic music lover will be broken.

In last week’s poll it seems that most of the PHASE02 readers enjoy the bassline and synths the most in an electronic music track. Also the drumloop seems to be quite important, but the melody in general is the most important aspect in whether we like a track or not.

We got some fresh news from Play Me Records.

DJs OB-One & J. Paul are HavocNDeed. Their dancefloor friendly yet bass ripping tracks are already in heavy rotation with Z-Trip, Drop The Lime, Nextmen, Shortee & Reid Speed, to name but a few. Play Me Recordings is now releasing their first AA side single, out Nov 2, with the already heavily-suported “BFYF” and the hauntingly original “Vindicta” which features a mindblowingly beautiful melody by violinist Theresa Paul.

The poll of this week is all about music again. I’m wondering what part of music people enjoy most. I mean what part of a track decides for you whether you like it more or less then another. We’ve received some news from Basserk Records. They’ve recently launched two new releases. Shock And Awe and Tanzkonsol are the two big stars of this post. Shock And Awe brought out their first digital album on Basserk “Bass Rage”, containing five brand new raging electro tracks.
